I have done two major electrical projects on two separate boats.  Both got a new Balmar Alternator and complete Balmar kit from Doug.  I had no idea what I was doing.  Doug took me through the process and answered all my questions expertly.  He came to the boats a few times when phone and text wasn’t getting the job done. When our starter failed as we were maneuvering our 35 ft sailboat into our assigned berth, the dock attendant referred us to Doug to get the problem solved.
The next morning Doug arrived at the marina and picked up the starter which I had removed from the boat.  Within a couple of hours we received a detailed text message with photos identifying the problem.  The solution was a new starter.
The next day Doug delivered the new starter which I was able to install and get us back out on the water once again.
We are grateful for this friendly, prompt, cost-effective,  expert service provided by Auto Electric  Rebuilders

I was recommended to Doug and he was extremely helpful and professional. Within minutes of speaking with him, he found the exact actuator I needed which cost me 900$ instead of maybe 2700! He switched in the proper motor, made the modifications so that my marine mechanic wouldn’t have to, and solved present and future problems. I’m super happy with the results! Today we were on a road trip to a car show from Haliburton Ontario to Stowe Vermont and as luck would have it. Our alternator in our 40 year old British car went up in smoke at a stop in Gananoque. We found Doug's shop on Google maps and gave him a call before heading back to Kingston.
Doug was great! Help me every step of the way to get a new unit tested and working in a vehicle that is out of the ordinary for most electrical mechanics.

When building a remote controlled mower robot there's much to be considered.  Getting to know Doug while he applied his expertise to the project via sourcing the perfect alternator took that off my plate and was a great learing experience.
